A fresh take on the trail we first followed.
WEST COAST INDIA PALE ALE | 6%
In our ongoing effort and expansion into one of the styles that is our “why” of Triple Crossing, we proudly present our latest take on the West Coast IPA at an ABV we strongly believe in.
As we continue down the well-beaten path created by those west coast brewers from the earlier 2000’s, we’ve found ourselves willing to trial out just a touch of crystal malt, even after so much of our previous willingness to whine and complain about its use. Opinions and attitudes, despite just how entrenched they might be, can still change.
The focus of such a departure in recipe formulation is in search of an additional depth of malt character that would complement our dryer American Ale yeast fermentation alongside the chosen varietals of Citra, Nelson, and Centennial.
The above efforts and carefully made decisions have us noticing deep mango and papaya, freshly microplaned navel orange zest, delicate dank grass, grapefruit pith, and fleeting tones of underripe berry.
